Our first day after a 4 hour flight and a 2 1/2 hour transfer which went without a hitch but we didnt arrive until nearly midnight. As the brochure says Perili 'the magical one' and we cant disagree as we got a stunning room high above the bay with a great view. Although it is not the best place to build a sailing centre with an island right in the middle of the bay messing up the predominant side shore winds!!! After breakfast and welcome meeting where we sign up for several things it is time to check out the windsurfing gear. The starboard boards have seen better days but the tushingham rigs are ok. With a breeze of 10/12 mph I choose 8m on 130 litre board with an unusual onshore wind I beat out past (Pamela) Anderson Island spend an hour or so reaching a couple of miles up and down way outside the allowed sailing area. It was on one of these runs I was joned by three dolphins but I was too slow for them and they left too quickly so that turned the average sail into 5 stars as I have been sailing for over 25 years and never seen a wild dolphin. Back to meet Mag for a bbq lunch and then try the same gear again but the wind had turned to its usual side shore so getting past the island was a nightmare then I was told by the rescue boat I was sailing too far and the wrong side of the island. Its like sailing in a puddle to be Soooooooooooo restricted. So with the wnd going light I flounder back for a dip in the pool and tea and cake.
